Dr. Eleni Eracleous (MD, DMRD, FRCR, PhD ESSR dipl) received her Medical Diploma from the University of Athens in 1973, earned the Diploma in Medical Radiodiagnosis (DMRD 1983) from the University of Edinburgh, became Fellow of the Royal Collage of Radiologists, London (FRCR 1984), earned her PhD from the University of Crete, Greece (PhD 1999), and the Diploma of European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology in (ESSR 2011).
She practiced in general medicine and radiology in Cyprus’ hospitals from 1973 to 1981. She had fellowship training at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh UK from 1981 to 84 as a senior registrar. She attended several three-month training courses in MRI at the Manchester Royal infirmary, the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, the Radiological Department of National Hospital for Nervous Diseases in London, the University Department of Dijkzigt Hospital in Rotterdam and the Neuroradiology and Musculoskeletal Radiology Departments of the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
She has published 23 papers in international medical journals such as the European Radiology, the Pediatric Radiology and the Neuroradiology. She has 34 scientific and educational presentations at several congresses, including the European Congress of Radiology and the Radiological Congress of North America and 120 invited lectures. She participated in several MRI research programs. She is a member of the research committee of the European Radiological Society and an Honorary Editor of the Clinical Radiology and Imaging Journal and an editor in other journals. She is also a lecturer of the Medical School of the University of Cyprus and a Secretary of the Radiological Society of Cyprus.
At present she is the Medical Director of the ”Medical Diagnostic Center of Ayios Therissos” in Nicosia.
