Dr. Pantelis, serves as an Assistant Professor in the Medical Physics Lab. of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School.
His current professional service includes membership in the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) and the Hellenic Association of Medical Physicists (HAMP).
He has co-authored over 48 publications in international journals (Author IDs: Scopus, ORCID, ResearchID, Google Scholar) and two book chapters, one in the “Radiochromic Film: Role and Applications in Radiation Dosimetry” edited by Indra J. Das (2017) and one in the “Quality and Safety in Radiotherapy”, edited by T. Pawlicki, A. J. Mundt, P. Dunscombe, P. Scalliet (2010) ( both published by Taylor & Francis Books Inc.). His research interests focus on the development and applications of methods for the quality assurance of radiotherapy applications and especially the dosimetry of small and non-standard fields used by modern radiotherapy systems, the implementation of advanced imaging techniques in radiotherapy and the computational dosimetry of brachytherapy applications.
