Platoni currently holds the position of Medical Physicist in the Radiation Oncology Department at University Hospital “Attikon”, Athens, Greece. She obtained her postgraduate diploma in Sciences in Radiological and Medical Physics from the University of Paul Sabatier, France in 1995. She also obtained a University diploma in Radiosurgery and Radiotherapy in stereotactic condition from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, France in 1996. She received her PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Paul Sabatier, France in 1998.
She worked as medical physicist for the quality assurance of Artemis -3D TPS for stereotactic irradiations at Dosigray Co, France and at the following departments: Radiation Oncology Dep, Hartmann Hospital, Radiation Oncology Dep, Tenon Hospital, France and Radiation Oncology Dep, Athens Medical Center, Greece. She has also teaching experience in educational courses and postgraduate programs.
She has published more than 45 papers in peer-review international scientific journals. She has participated as presenter, invited lecturer or chairwoman to over 60 national and international.
